I don't know how he knows how to this...

I swear we dont watch that much tv!

My Happy Teddy Bear

The other morning Theo was pulling at his halloween costume in his closet, so we decided to take it out and try it on again. And since we did that, how could we not take pictures??

This boy is always checking out that ceiling fan.
10 and a half months later, and it still entertains him!

World Turned Upside Down

I grabbed Theo's sippy cup while he was eating last night and pretended to drink out of it.  Oh my goodness, he did not realize that his mama could be so silly.  I just love that belly laugh, and we are hearing it all the time these days.  He thinks EVERYTHING is hysterical.  Earlier that day, he thought it was absolutely hilarious that I put a piece of watermelon on his tray.  Really, I put some watermelon on his food tray, nothing new, and he just lost it. Absolutely lost it. This kid can find humor in the silliest places.

I don't know how to get the video rotated, so warning: you may get a crick in your neck.

Splash Pad Fun?

Yep. That's right.  Theo was not enjoying the water splashing all over his face and head.  Trying to shield it with the hat didn't help.

Notice, I am trying to walk towards the water, while he is turning to make a run in the opposite direction.

JoElla loooved it.  She crawled around and let the water splash right in her face.  Theo wasn't taking notes.

Swinging put a smile on everyones face.

The rest of the week you can find Theo and me in our backyard.  We will be playing in the sprinklers, getting ready for our next trip to the splash pad.

The boys.

Starting this blog was supposed to get me to take more pictures of the things we do, with the people we do them with! These are the 3 pictures I have from this weekend. I'll work on it.

This baby is worn out.

Lately, we have had many sleepy car rides:

What can I say? We're busy folk.

Lately, our chairs are never around the table.  Theo will take a chair and push it until it is stuck against a wall and can go no further.  Who needs pushing walker toys?? (We have one, but he likes to do things his own way :) )

We went to the zoo with our favorite Tuesday gal pals, Katie and JoElla. We saw lions and tigers and llamas, oh my! But I only got a picture of a few goats.  Oopsies.

I took Theo for a car ride, and he was just chatting and waving to all the plants we passed. It was his usual "Uttt. Uttt. ppppfffff." I guess that means "Hi, how are you?" in his own little language.

I love this time of the year.  There is just so much to do! Swimming with friends, grilling, weddings, swimming with family, playing outside, swimming, going for walks, vacations here, vacations there, and did I mention swimming??

Below are some bits and pieces of what has been going on lately.

Alex was in town for a wedding, and as always, it is all laughs with this girl.

Grace made this adorable tortilla.  Nothing says love like a fresh tortilla, am I right?

Theo's favorite spot in the kitchen.  He loves his animal magnets.

Rainey Street, where Alex's "favorite bar in America" is located.

The boys were worn out after some long days.

Lately, Theo has been crawling over to me and pulling up on my legs.  Sometimes, he gives me a little fuss that says "pick me up mama." But sometimes, I get a big fat grin.  And this may very well be my favorite part of motherhood, yet.
